Rainforest Artwork!

We looked at layered illustrations and used various shapes and patterns to create a layered rainforest background. We then watched ‘Austin’s Butterfly’ and found out we can become better learners through feedback and used our final version of our butterfly to create our own layered illustration.

World Book Day Visitor!

We had a visitor on World Book Day who taught us stories and rhyming words. He held a special assembley and got the whole school involved. It was great fun!

A rainforest has appeared in Hedgehog Class!

We helped create the ‘Rainforest Explorers’ area by using pastels on huge rolls of paper. We looked at the shapes of the leaves and used the new vocabulary we have been learning to describe the shapes.S6300786 S6300760 S6300764 S6300762

Andy Goldsworthy!

We have been looking at the artist Andy Goldsworthy. We used natural materials to create own our artwork and sculptures. We focused on composition and pattern.S6300603 S6300606

Mrs Brown needs our help!!!!

We met Mrs Brown. She was very upset. We made her feel safe and comfortable. We asked questions to find out why she was upset. She said she had seen something in the woods and was frightened. We started to look for clues to help Mrs Brown.
