Sock Puppets!

In DT, Year One designed  some fantastic sock puppets of different African animals. It was our responsibility to decide which materials we wanted to use and how we were going to make them. After this, we followed our designs carefully to create our puppets.  We were very proud of the finished products!

Fun at Forest School

Year One had great fun during our Forest School session this week. Mr O’Brien taught us how to make bread and cook it on the fire. It tasted very yummy! When we had finished eating we looked in our school pond and were very excited to see a frog!

We had a wonderful time learning all about the countries of the United Kingdom! On Monday we learnt about where we live and made passports. Year one have been getting creative!

This week we decided to make a treasure island by looking carefully at the human and physical features you might find; including rocks, ships and palm trees. We used our Enterprise skills to solve problems, make decisions and work together to create the island, the Enterprise characters were very impressed!
