UK Week!

Designing and making healthy smoothies!

Our friend Bob from The Man on The Moon book asked us for a quick and healthy breakfast idea. So, we designed him a fruity smoothie. We tasted some fruit, drew our design and then made our smoothies with a blender. They were delicious!

We read a story about a lion who learnt to tell the truth about his fears. He then learnt how to be courageous! These are our super courageous lion paintings.

Jewish Visitors

This week we welcomed two visitors from Norwich Synagogue into our school to teach us all about Judaism. We learnt all about their day of rest and how they welcome in Shabbat. It was very interesting and we learnt such a lot!

Fun at the zoo!

We had an amazing time at the zoo learning about many different animals! In the rainforest workshop we were lucky enough to handle a cockroach and giant stick insect.

Book Walk!

This week we went on an exciting book walk, reading the story of Hansel and Gretel. We collected treasure on the way round to help us remember the story. The year 2 children were responsible for reading the story and keeping the Year 1 children safe. We had lots of fun! 

Africa sale!

On Friday afternoon, the year two’s put on a fantastic Africa sale in their classrooms. They were selling artwork, jungle juice, handmade jewellery, handmade cupcakes and more! The sale was a huge success and lots of money was raised for the WWF and Send a Cow organisations. We are very very proud of our children.

African necklaces

In year two this week we have been learning about the Maasai tribes in Africa. We have been watching videos and studying photographs to learn more about their way of life. We finished the week by making African necklaces, based on the ones that  members of the Maasai wear!
