Bear Hunt Sensory Story

We had a special Bear Hunt sensory story. We were swooshed with tinsel for the grass, squirted with water for the river, felt the oozy mud, felt the crunchy leaves from the forest, threw snow in the air and looked in caves with torches for the bear! It was lots of fun.

We have loved learning about Chinese New Year. We had Chinese noodles which we ate with chopsticks. Have you used your chopsticks at home yet?

Handa’s Surprise Fruit Tasting!

We have been reading and learning about the story Handa’s Surprise. We learned about the different fruits in the story and we did some fruit tasting. We thought of words that described the fruit – sweet, sour, juicy, hard, soft, delicious, ripe!

Maybe you could try some new fruits at home and tell us about it on Tapestry?

Fire bread

We have been learning about different ways to make bread. This week Mr O’Brien taught us how to make bread that we can cook on the fire – it was easy and delicious. We ate it with honey.
