Year one have been getting creative!

This week we decided to make a treasure island by looking carefully at the human and physical features you might find; including rocks, ships and palm trees. We used our Enterprise skills to solve problems, make decisions and work together to create the island, the Enterprise characters were very impressed!

Jewish Visitors

This week we welcomed two visitors from Norwich Synagogue into our school to teach us all about Judaism. We learnt all about their day of rest and how they welcome in Shabbat. It was very interesting and we learnt such a lot!

Look what we found! This week in Year One we discovered an old compass near our school pirate ship. We decided to open it to look inside and found the name E.Teach. We began to investigate and we think it belonged to a famous pirate known as Captain Blackbeard. I wonder how it got there…

Book Walk!

This week we went on an exciting book walk, reading the story of Hansel and Gretel. We collected treasure on the way round to help us remember the story. The year 2 children were responsible for reading the story and keeping the Year 1 children safe. We had lots of fun!
