A busy few weeks here at Clover Hill, our Christmas Fayre, Christmas Jumper day, Festive family workshops and our Nursery Christmas party.
Our Christmas Fayre raised over £800 for our school fund. We raised over £84 for Save the Children during our Christmas Jumper day. Thank you to everyone who supported these events.
Our Festive family Christmas workshops were enjoyed by lots of our parents and carers. Thank you to Roys for donating the tasty mince pies.
Nursery enjoyed watching Charlie Cheesecake and his magic tricks for a special Christmas party.
All the staff at Clover Hill wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
We have had such a great time practising our Nativity play! We learnt all of the songs and even the sign language to go with them. We were really brave performing in front of all our family.
Thank you to all who came – what a fantastic show it was! Well done to all the children.
Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising for Children in Need.
Pupils and staff came to school wearing spots, stripes or something bright. The school raised over £138 for this very worthwhile charity.
We all made our own poppies to wear in our ‘Values Assembly’. We also chose from various activities to create pieces to remember those who died, both people and animals.
The festival of light
Nursery have learnt how Diwali is celebrated. We have danced, created Rangoli patterns and made diva lamps.
We used Doodle Buddy on the iPads to create amazing firework pictures, we thought about the colours and shapes of the fireworks.
We were able to explore an autumn vegetable this week as part of our Food and Celebrations topic. An adult helped us cut open the pumpkin and taught us about how it grows in the ground. Then we scooped out the seeds to plant more. It was so much fun!
Children were very excited to taste the delicious special spooky menu on offer today prepared by our talented cooks.
